We were pleased to take part in Federation University’s FedFest orientation week event in early March as part of our work to support preparations for the local workforce. We chatted with lots of current and returning students about the energy transition, our environmental surveys, and the future jobs and workforce required to operate our wind farms. It was fantastic to hear such enthusiasm from those who will play a key part in bringing these projects to reality.
We are also proud participants of the second round of Gippsland Offshore Wind Days being held throughout Gippsland, which have kicked off in Port Albert, Golden Beach and Sale. Working with other project proponents has been a great way to assist the local community to understand the work underway in the region, and ask questions while everyone is in the same room!
We’ve spoken to lots of people about their interest in the projects, what they see as the biggest priorities, and how they can see Gippsland locals benefiting most from offshore wind.
There’s one more event to come – in Leongatha on 27 March – we look forward to seeing you there.
