Australia is a make-or-break region for climate change. The nation has already experienced the impacts of climate change firsthand, ravaged by higher temperatures, extreme drought, fires and floods.

Ørsted plays an important role in the global energy industry. Our large-scale offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms, and energy storage facilities do more than mitigate climate change. They’re also making our energy infrastructure stronger and more robust. And they’re growing the national economy.
Globally, we’re the leader in offshore wind, with 1 in every 4 offshore wind turbines installed by Ørsted. We’ve currently built enough offshore wind to power 15 million people. By 2030, our ambition is to power 55 million people.

Since building the world’s first offshore wind farm in Denmark in 1991, we’ve gained unrivalled experience and know-how, defining the industry as it exists today.
We have a growing portfolio of onshore wind farms, solar farms, and energy storage facilities. Today, we’re also pioneering the renewable technologies of tomorrow, such as green hydrogen.

We were the first energy company to fully transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, and we’ll be the first to reach net-zero carbon emissions.
